I agree he is average at throwing, but overall he isn't overrated. Nobody says he is a great passer. He is a difference maker and is very worthy of that. The same team the was 2-9 at this point last year is 9-2 coming into today with Vick at qb. He is good. Not conventionally good, but a qb on pace to run for 1000 yards is crazy.

Slick - its obvious that folks havent watched theFalcons this Year....
1 - Leading the NFC in rushing
2 - Their defense is 50 YPG form being in First place in the NFC
3 - Leading their division
....and rememebr - all y'all who are saying that VIck has been "average" this season.....and they are 9-3......what do you thinks gonna happen when he has another 4 games experience in the first year WCoast offense?

Yep. And I must stress I'm by no means a Falcons fan. I'm a diehard Dolphins fan as some here know. I just don't understand why so many people have this animosity and criticism of a team that is second in the NFC. They don't try to throw the ball all over the field, so naturally they aren't going to put up big numbers in that area. They try to control the ball on offense and play good defense, and so far, most of the year they have done a great job of it. Will it work in the playoffs? We'll have to see. Philly looks like they are in another league compared to the rest of the NFC though.
Vick is a phenominal QB with a cannon of an arm. How can he be considered overrated when he was injured all last year and this year is working with a new offense in the run and shoot/west coast style?

Vick is awesome and he does have a cannon for an arm. Back in school I saw him toss the ball 60+ yards (on the money) off his back foot. It's sick.
But yeah, it's his first year in the new system... plus, they have a first year coach too, right? They're doing great this year... I just hope they can keep it up (for the rest of this year and beyond).

I've said it before but the thing that is so impressive to me about Vick's arm is that it looks so effortless. I compare him to say Favre or Culpepper, and both of those qbs have great arms, but they really put a lot behind the ball when they throw it to achieve their velocity. Vick just brings his arm back and the ball takes off. He doesn't even have to put everything into it. It's unreal.
