Glucose has a GI of 137
Maltodextrin has a GI of 150

That's the reason that performance carb drinks like Carbo Rush, and carb energy gels like power gel put malto in their products rather than glucose. But I guess the difference is not dramatic.
 
they both suck! they have gluten which is a nuro toxin that is no good for training...gluten is in all wheats..
 
The absolute best thing to spike blood sugar besides powdered glucose is Sweat Tarts. I would use them for my TKD program before my work out with R-ALA for HUGE blood sugar swings. Just enough energy for my workout then once i was finished my blood sugar would drop back down so I could stay in ketosis.Talking swings in 2 hours from blood sugar levels at 115 to 45 on 50 grams or 9 sweat tarts.

Sweat Tarts are half Maltodextrin and half Dextrose. The best of both worlds. Pure hi simple fast acting GI sugars less that one chemical reaction away from being glucose. Infact Dextrose tablets are often labled as glucose tablets for diabetics.
