Maintain results on cutting cycle?

Do you permanently keep off some of the bodyfat after you do a cutting cycle, or are the results just short-term? My ultimate goal is to get huge, freaky huge. Although my waistline needs trimming, it seems like a waste of time to get cut. Once I'd be satisfied with my bf%, I'd go back to mass gaining mode and get fat all over again. If I had a specific goal in mind -- a modeling shoot, a bbing competition (which are possibilities at some point) -- then I might want to get my bf % down for that particular event. Otherwise, it seems useless. Does this make sense?

My personal opinion and only my personal opinion!!!

It is my view that keeping you bodyfat too low at all times of the year is somewhat unhealthy. Let me explain... lets say that you go into a competition with, lets say, 6% bodyfat and then you seek to maintain it throughout the year. Two things come to mind, at least to me that is. First, dieting will not allow you to maintain the muscle mass that you have achieved for the length of time that you want. Second, you body will begin to rebel somewhat, at least I would think. Now, I am not an expert here but take for what it is worth... especially listen to the moderators here... that it not really in your best interests to try to maintain a competition bodyfat level year round... it doesn't make sense besides the health implications. Staying at around the 10% range or even up as high as 12% doesn't seem to unreasonable... at least to me. Again, hear and listen to the moderators here.... they know their stuff!!!

trust me bro you may stay somewhat lean but impossible to have veins on your fucking abs and try getting huge during off season.....just don't let yourself get fat, or unless your fucking overdosing on steroids

This is what I really meant

I was probably a little ambiguous about what I said I wanted. It would not be necessary to keep at 6% bodyfat all year round. I don't even even want to get down that low right now -- I'd much rather be huge, but have a normal looking (not misshaped) waistline. I am very hard and vascular in my upper body, but I have a gut. I'll estimate the bodyfat at 15-18% (5'10", 225#,19"arms which do stay hard). If I do a cycle where my carbs are under 100g/day, and I am doing intensive cardio, it seems like a wasted window of opportunity to put on some major size. What I am asking is, are cutting cycles meant just to get someone like me down to 6% bf? Can I make small adjustments in my bulking cycle (include fina to burn fat, do some cardio) to bring my bodyfat slightly down, to maybe 12%, while I continue to bulk? If I do a cutting cycle and bring myself down to 6%, then will I most likely not return to my present state of 15-18%, even when bulking?

You need to decide what is most important right now!

At this point you need to decide what is more important.... a little vein on your belly while you gain some intensive mass or the deep, cut to the bone style definition that can only come to those who sacrifice a little!
Please don't get the idea that I am here to belittle you... to the contrary.... you cannot possibly gain mass and lose fat, big amounts of it that is, at the same time as you are seeking to get more mass.
I could be right out to lunch... and moderators.... please correct me if I am wrong..... and I might be!

Nah, don't want to lose tremendous amounts of bodyfat yet, just lose the gut. Maybe, 10 lbs. or so. I am thinking that the if I do some cardio and do fina, the two might burn enough fat while I am on a high cal diet to be satisfied with my waistline.
As GnR said, all I need is a little patience. Then I'll get the size I want to start cutting up with.
I want to look huge from all angles in a baggy shirt before I even think about going all-out cutting.

I think you should be able to maintain a low body fat % after a cut cycle as long as you keep a clean diet and keep training hard while doing cardio. When on a bulk cycle just don't go overboard on the cals and the fat gain should be minimized.
