Import Customs do not search domestic packages. It is either the post office, the courier service used or the police (should the post office feel something inside is prohibited).

A good friend of mine works for the US Postal Inspectors office as for the customs checking packages from overseas its done by dogs for the most part they walk them by and if there are any question to the package then the Xray it then tey open it as for AS they are not trained to sniff this and most are sealed in there amps so they couldnt smell that anyway

postal inspectors have to have probable cause to search first class or priority mail- so it is rarely EVER searched. Overnight- is a different story.

If you really think about it for one second. tens of thousands of AS are coming through customs. You have to assess your risk/reward. Then make your decision. Its seems pretty simple to me
