Madden 2004

Anybody got it yet? I want to know how it compares to 2003, which I'm currently playing quite a lot (still).

Regardless, I'm going to wait until Christmas to get 2004 because otherwise I'll get too distracted from more important things.

What are the playmaker controls?

You can make your receivers change their routes mid-play. You can also call for blocks downfield, and shift your secondary over mid-play. You use the right analog for all ow this.

By mid-play you mean before the ball has been snapped, or afterwards? That could get very tricky after the snap!

Okay, I'm a little annoyed by Madden, but I've only played one game.

For one, it's interception happy. Admittedly, I take a lot of chances as QB, but 3 in 3 quarters sucks balls.

Number two, what is up with all the clipping penalties? Fucking a...I think there were 5 in the three quarters I played.

I like the options, and the new defensive formations. It's just going to take me some time to figure out what works.

I just played it the first time last night after playing 2003 into the ground hehe. I think 04 is a bad ass game player movment is much smoother and interceptions are MORE REAL now. Instead of in 03 where they would just jump up and bat the ball down instead of trying to catch it, now they actually catch the damn ball. I personally think 04 blows 03 away.
