I really wish I would have followed these old time weightlifting routines when I first read about how Reg Park would do 5x5. No wonder those guys from the 40's and 50's were so huge without any supplements or drugs. They just lifted heavy heavy weights, basic/olympic lifts, hitting each muscle one way or another 2-3 times a week and eating anything that wasn't nailed down. Just imagine if todays guys trained like that with all the shit they take and all the supplements availible! I really believe Ronnie was natural when he turned pro like he and everyone claims. He wasn't as big as he is now, but he was a powerlifter and used 5x5 type routines and just ate with great genetics too.
Sometimes we can learn from the past. Props to Madcow for bringing back what should have NEVER been forgotten....
