Good gawd, I hope the dems will elect a more moderate speaker than "left of Liberace" Pelosi. Jesus, she's third in line for the Presidency.

Makes me cringe just thinking about it :worried:

Let her sink or swim.

She has a very big burden on her shoulders and the appointment could have long reaching effects on other women and far left liberals. Im betting she moves towards the center.

Most of her freshman democrats ran as conservative democrats. My guess is she's getting the "Move toward the center" talk from the party leadership first thing this morning.

Don't you love the way she went right after Bushie in her speech? She plans on slamming the brakes onto some of his little fun for sure.

I hope she listens.

I hope she doesn't :)

The "Pelosi"'s are to the democratic party what Pat Robertson is to the republicans. I'm hoping she comes-out guns a-blazin.

Why? So we can go back to one party controlling everything and dividing the country? Hasn't worked so well. One can hold firm to their ideology and still compromise to get things done that are in the best interests of everyone rather than trying to ram a personal agenda down everyone's throat.

I'm sort of comfortable with a paralyzed goverment (in all seriousness). It may serve the American public for them to not try to do too much.

So they call you an Americanadian? ;)

She and the Dem's will be a non-factor. Funny, now they will have to come up with some original ideas rather than complain. The GOP fixes the economy, the Dems wreck it. GOP lowers taxes, Dems raise them. Just a cycle. GOP will regain "power" next time out when the country comes back to their senses.

The nation just passed judgement on GOP effectiveness.

The country just passed judgment based on what they have been continually hit by the daily media outlets on. Not to pass sour grapes, but it was amusing to see the morning anchors today barely containing their glee that their "reporting" finally had something to do with an election outcome. People seem to forget that unemployment is the lowest in how many years? Obviously, the economic policies of the current leadership are working. When was the last time the terrorists attacked the mainland? Obviously we are safer than we were. Thanks current leadership again for taking us in the right direction. Are they perfect? No. But now the Dems will be in focus and all their corruption and dirty laundry will come out. Just like before. Just a cycle. Now the GOP can be the complainers for awhile. It is always easier to be the critic. In a liberal state like CA, at least we have Arnold by a landslide over flip flop Phil....what a mess that would have been.
