Anyone ever been? I was there in 1984 I believe. My Dad worked at 1740 Broadway and we watched it from the windows of his building it was so awesome.

I lived just a few blocks down 34th St from Herald Sq. and could have easily walked to see the parade in 1983, but I didn't want to deal with the crowd, and wasn't real thrilled about seeing the Underdog balloon anyway.
