so.. ya think we got a handle on the correct ius vs units??? well we could get some other opinions just for the hell of it...
maybe ironmaster will reply :)

Q: if there are 50 unit slin syringes and 100 and you want to shoot 2 ius a day, how many units would that be on each syringe???

A: mod's pharmacist feels that on both it would be the same.. 1 iu=5.5 units. Now that was based on the 100 unit slin syringe.. so i would then use 11 units to get 2ius... BUT is it the same with the 50unit slin syringe???

OPINIONS......

well i sure hope im doing my math right and i know ironmaster will click in..

here is how i do it.

one 18iu bottle of serostim unmixed....i take a 1cc (100 units) pin , i draw out a full 100 units of bac water and inject in the dry powder..so now i have 18 units of mixed gh.....so i take 100 ( the amount of water mixed in) and divide it by 18 (the amount of one bottle of unmixed GH) that = out to 5.5 marking on the slin pin for one IU of GH

now as for a 50 unit pin...i will let ironmaster confirm this for you

Sure, it's the same. I always use 50's.

Just FYI; Iu's are a unit used to measure the mass of certain vitamins and drugs based on their expected effects. For each substance to which this unit applies, there is an international agreement specifying the biological effect expected with a dose of 1 IU. Other quantities of the substance are then expressed as multiples of this standard. Examples: 1 IU represents 45.5 micrograms of a standard preparation of insulin or 0.6 microgram of a standard preparation of penicillin. Consumers most often see IU's on the labels of vitamin packages: the equivalent of 1 IU is 0.3 microgram (0.0003 mg) for vitamin A, 50 micrograms (0.05 mg) for vitamin C, 25 nanograms (0.000 025 mg) for vitamin D, and 2/3 milligram for vitamin E.

People get confused because iu's measure mass, not volume. There are no darts specifically made to measure GH dosage, so you got use a little math, after reading the package insert for reconstituted concentration.
To make it harder, every brand of GH makes a different concentration when reconstituted. Saizen kits only contain 15iu total, in a large amount of bactrostatic water, so 67.5iu = 1iu GH!!!
But you do have the correct conversion for a 126iu Serostim kit.
