lumps in injection site

my daughter had a few shots yesterday and now on all 3 sites they look all red,swollen,and blotchy......also they have lumps like a calcium deposit......is this normal? what is it a result of?

its inflamation of the tissue, its normal and will go away gradually in a few days as blood leaves the affected area.

vaccinations that children recieve.....one was polio one was mmr and i think the other was hib

I thought polio was oral? Anyway, red, swollen injection sites aren't that big of a deal...as long as you keep them clean and infection free, there shouldn't be a problem. However if the muscle gets infected, thats a bad thing. I would ask your doctor if you should take any more precautions other than keeping the injection site clean.
