Lower pec workout?

Distortion

I know theres an age long debate on wether or not you can target one portion of the pec but it seems that the bottom and outer regions of my pecs are lacking compared to the top. What is a good exercise it hit this area?

I don't think you can beat dips, flat bench and maybe presses on a slight decline.

Basically, just do what you'd otherwise do to get bigger pecs--inclines aside, obviously.

although I dont believe on lower pec work, at least before a good foundation is set, Ive heard dips do wonders, although we all know how this exercise is top-notch for overall pec development.

I hate declines, and am backing away from flat bench all together right now as well due to rotator problems, but dips with a serious lean to the front is awesome for hitting the pecs, IMO

The pec has two major parts

Most of the pec is the sternal head, named so because it attached along the length of the sternum.

The other part is the clavicular head, which attaches at the clavicle.

They have slightly different insertion points, and incline presses will deactivate the sternal head while still stressing the clavicular.

However flat bench, dips, etc usually activate all of the chest at once.

So my advice to distortion is try cutting bodyfat. Some guys store fat at the lower pecs that can mess up the lines. Other than that, it's just bad luck. Sorry man.

Since we are talking about chest only I would say less emphasis on presses and more emphasis on flys, cable or dumbell. Presses are coumpound movement , we are talking about isolating the lower pecs , so do less presses and more flys.

Disp are good only if you don't have shoulder trouble.

I have found that just using heavy flat bench has built all the lower chest that I need

I hate dips as a chest exercise (leaning forward); I know lots of people love them, but for some reason I just hate them. Try doing some heavy flyes on a flat bench and stopping 10 inches short of touching the dumbells together. Get a nice stretch at the bottom of the movement, real slow.

bro, who's that guy on your avatar? is he squatting (i'm guessing by the mar across the traps)?

My inner and uper pec are hard and ripped, but then my lower pec is flabby, which ruins it. What can i do to improve this?? Best moves? Just decline?
