actually it seems that test levels and libido can be completely irrelevant if prolactin levels are too high. You can have a decent libido with low test levels if prolactin is normal, and absolutely no libido with very high test levels if prolactin is skyhigh. estrogen has been said to be a factor as well if levels are drastically out of range.

Just got back from my first endo appointment. He sent me for more blood work, as I figured he would. He said that he didn't believe my lab results and that if my test is really that low there's something wrong! No shit!
He gave me a vioxx script for sore joints and sent me for blood work. I told him I don't like to take anti-inflams but he wants me to try. I don't think I'll take em.

We'll see what the results are in a few days....

Im 21 and my levels are 144!!! And that was after I was clean for 5 months... I did all the MRI shit which I am still paying off!!! Had a shit load of blood work done and He finally gave me a test script for delatestryl @200mg e3rd week. Funny thing is that even with my test shots my levels are unchanged. I just had bloodwork done and my levels are at like 160???

So join the club bro. I was real worried about being on hrt and my age and all and he said that there are alot of guys in there 20's with the same problem..

Well alot of times people just dont wait long enough after a cycle to have there test levels checked. It also varies depending on the time of day that you have the test done. If your levels continue to be low then your Dr will probably put you on some kind of replacement therapy. There are three basic types of replacement. A patch androderm being the most common, a gel Androgel, and of course a shot. My levels have been low since I was in a very bad accident in Dec of 2000. I have tried all three forms of replacement and if you can afford it the Androgel is the most effective. The release of the test in the system most closely resembles the bodies natural production. It is expensive, about 170 a month without insuarance, but beats the other methods. By the way if you decide to go with the shot dont tell the Dr that you already know how to give yourself a shot. Might light up a little bulb over his head. Tell him your wife is a nurse or something. By the way make sure your levels arent low because of your cycle. It can sometimes take months to return to normal.

My sex drive has been low for the past year an a half. It all started after using suppliments like Animal Stack, and even ephedra. I have been on some very low calorie diets in the past also. I even did a short 5 week cylce of 20mg SPA Var. I went to the doctor this summer to see what was wrong, even after 5 months off of everything. I got my test levels tested, and i think that they were at 256 or something, i could be totally wrong, but he told me that the levels were completly normal. He said that it might be nervousness or something like that. He is totally wrong, and i havent been able to figure out what it is.

What is normal test range?

Now i am thinking that it is Prolactin levels. Does anyone have a link to some more info on Prolactin, and Libido?

I think normal is between 260-1000.

I think it might have been 356 or something then, cuz i remember him showing me normal values, and mine was towards the lower part of the normal.

Normal range is from 241 to 827 according to the letter from my Dr. Mine is 260 but he still put me on HRT. My LH is also low due to an injury to the pituitary gland which is in the brain. It apparently can also affect sex drive. I have a low sex drive, but have no problem performing, which is the important part anyway. Dont get me wrong, when I see the little hotties in the gym I have no problem with my sex drive.

Im going to call my doc tommorrow to ask him what the results were. I am 21, so if it is under 300 is that bad?
