Low dose test into shoulder surgery?

musclehealth

New member
I am having shoulder surgery in december. I would like to run low dose test and maybe low deca to help me keep some gains. Will the Test make any problems with my surgery? Will the docs encounter problems because im on cycle?

orthoscopic (sp) surgery?
i had shoulder surgery while on cycle, (500 mg test e 600 mg deca) and it didnt cause any probs. my physical therapist was amazed by how fast i was able to recover,
i only put the weights down for a week! then started right back ,lighter of course but the typical recovery time was supposed to be 6 weeks.
some say that due to bp issues with the as + anestesia you shouldnt be on something during surgeries.

Are you gettnig local freezing or will you be put to sleep? I'd consult your doctor imo if at all possible as you could have complications with the anesthetic.

Hmmm, curious, very curious

I have decided I will wait till posy surgery to start. Not worth the obvious risk. I will be out to sleep. I was told deca only @ low sode like 300mg weed prior sergery and after could help. Since its not a 17aa steroids I should not have problems.

I had a clavicular recection and a mumford procedure (I was off cycle) and I couldn't have imagined lifting a week later, even light. but then again I had bone removed. I don't doubt what you say, just seems like unbelievable

I am going in for hernia surgery next week (hopefully) and I stopped my cycle last Monday. I was running sus @ 250mg M&Th and EQ 600mg a week. I was on week 6. I stopped becaue I do not want my blood levels off too much (assuming they take blood before surgery - anyone know?) and I do not want to have to disclose to my doc that I am currenty on.

Furthermore, I do not want any complications with surgery. My LIFE is more important than keeping a few pounds lol I do not want any complications. Hopefully I will get the easiest procedure and be in and out in the same day.

AAS post op is an option. Depending on my schedule I my jump back on or just wait. It all depends on how my recovery goes. I have read many posts of people using AAS post op (a few weeks after) and being fine. I have a guy a the gym that used after his knee surgery and the PT was shocked at his recovery time.

hernia huh, i don't know bro, I have heard that coughing hard after hernia surgery can bust stitches out nevermind lifting . . .

There is a new procedure. I am not sure if my specific hernia will be able to get this done but it is interesting.

"Using a new, 3-D mesh repair called the PROLENE Hernia System, Andrassy can fix an inguinal, incisional or umbilical hernia under local anesthesia in less than 30 minutes.

The device, developed by ETHICON Inc., consists of an underlay patch that repairs the inside posterior of the abdominal wall. It also has a connector similar to a plug, but smaller and flatter, and another mesh patch that fits over the abdominal wall.

The device, which is secured with a minimal number of stitches, rests flat against the abdomen, and it eventually grows into the tissue to create a new wall.

After making the hernia repair, Andrassy covers the incision with a plastic patch, so patients can shower within hours of surgery. Patients leave the hospital the same day, and can immediately return to normal activities – even if those activities include weight lifting or other strenuous exercise."

This looks like a dream come true if so.

i had impingment syndrome, and had to have some scar tissue removed from the bursa and the ulnar bone shaved a little.
shyt, they had me scheduled for a month of pt 3 weeks after surgery but when i went to my first pt appt. i was pretty much back to 100%
the pain of having the inpingment was by far worse than the pain after surgery! i lived with it for 6+ months untill i finally got it taken care of,after surgery it felt like a relief of pressure.

Test can be a problem with anesthesia,

You can elevate your blood pressure,

I would advise against it.

For instance I had a face lift about 4 years ago, just finished a serious cycle,

Needed emergency surgery after the case because my b-p went through the roof.

Thanks for pointing that out. I stopped my cycle almost two weeks ago and I am thinking of waiting until December to get surgery to let my system get back to normal. I was only in week 6 though and my BP was not elevated while on. I was running EQ though so I imagine my RBC is high - I wonder if that can lead to blood clots?
