I just moved from Baton Rouge to New york and I am so pissed that there is finally a REAL hurricane about to hit and I am missing it. My brother is calling me every few hours to keep me posted. He charged up the camcorder to tape me some action. I love driving a boat thru the flooded streets and seeing how water can consume so much land. It is an awesome site. No hurricane in NYC but I am still having a hurricane party. My grandfather lives in Grand Isle and said last weeks hurricane put water in his bar and it was a pussy of a hurricane. This one is going to be bad. Prayers out to those who can't afford insurance and are going to lose a lot. Hope no one gets hurt.

Be smart & stay safe bayou brothers. Have yourselves a nice big plate full of "mudbugs" with some shots of Cuervo Gold 1800, and ride that fucker out. I did hear on "The Weather Channel" tonight that it might decrease into a Category 3 by the trime it reaches landfall. Let's hope.

Lafayette looks to get the bad stuff. It weakened quickly though. It is also a very compact storm and the bad stuff doesn't cover much area. Baton Rouge is getting some strong wind right now and some rain. Electricity was out for some time this morning but now back on.
