Lost 50 pounds.. Now need to shape up !

H20

New member
I weighed 246lbs about 4 months ago..
I'm now weighing in @ 195lbs @ 6'2" .. I'm going to continue to lose and reach my goal weight of 180lbs. But In the process I want to shape my body. I still got a belly and got some chest parts that need to go !

What's some of the best excerises I can do to lose this stomach and bulk my chest/breast region ? .. I do 2 hours of Cardio 4 days/week during basketball practice. Not including the games.

Thanks,
H20

There's no exercise that will cause you to lose weight of a specific part of your body (ie spot reduction). What you can do to is build the muscle underneath to firm up the region and lower your overall bodyfat %.

Chest: Bench press (any variation), dips, flyes, pushups
Stomach: situps or any variation, turkish getups or anythign that uses them isometrically (Deadlift/squat/pullup)

I hope you know the consequences of training the chest/abs exclusively ;). I highly advise you to train your back.

Yeah, fat is mostly a consequence of diet. If you wanna lose fat you gotta change the way you eat.

Good luck.

First off, I wanna say Thanks for the response.
Second thing, My diet consist of fats "Atkins" .. I have lost 50 pounds on this plan. Wanting to reach 180-185lbs though.

I still got a little flab on my stomach and also I got some A cup breasts going on that's gotta go !! ..

Any suggestions bro ? I'm going to Flordia this month and need something quick for my chest lol.

A lot of people here recommed inclined bench press, but me personally I like declined bench press. Its great for removing that fatty region underneath the nipple region, also its great for your shoulders and deltoids.

I've always thought declines put even more stress on the rotators than flat bench.
