In high school I was 5'8" 265+ I was a phat bastard. I then went on to drop down to 155lbs. Then I started lifting and now I'm at 195 and pretty happy. I still have some unwanted fat around the midsection that just will not go away, even at 155lbs.
Used to be an after thought until I recently got food TV, fucking Alton Brown and Rachel Ray! I can't turn it off, I'm always hungry now, even when I train I watch it but wear my iPod and watch the pictures. gawd!!!! I stay within my usual habits, but why I have to make it so hard on myself? stupid ass. I should have gone to cullinary school. I'm afraid I'm going to breakdown and start eating till no end.
i usually drop between 2 and 3 pounds a week overall while adding a little muscle (not much) doing my current regime, which is lifting for an hourish 5-6 days a week and cardio for half an hour 4-5 days a week, road running or strapping up and hitting the heavy bag.
most meals are protein shakes though, which sucks and ive hit a plateau i wont drop below my avatar bf%
