Looking for some insight on starting a Powerlifting Program

Hey Guys

I figured this would be the best place to start up a powerlifting routine.. I have been weight training for 10 years . I am 29 yrs old 6'2 240 lbs probably 20% bodyfat. I consider myself taller than average and I am concerned that my height my affect my ability to perform powerlifting exercises, deadlifts in particular.
I am very weak in the core power exercises. I never used deads or squats in my workouts regularly due to , not performing them correctly and feeling uncomfortable performing them.

I realize that with no instruction on proper form , I was destine to fail.. But I was hoping for some advice on how to start a powerlifting routine.

Should I alter my training in preperation of begining a power routine .

Exercises to be included :
Flat Bench
Incline bench - secondary movement
Squats
Hyper-extensions- secondary movement
Deads
Pull Ups - secondary
Rows- t-bar,cable, bent over
Close Grip Bench
Skull Crushers- Secondary

I think this is all the exercises I would need to start a basic powerlifting routine .

I have read some information on West Side , along with some of Charles Poliquin articles, I am considering purchasing Beyond Brawn any help here or insight would be of great thanks.

I don't know how much beyond brawn costs, but whatever it costs, save that money and apply it to the purchase of Westside Barbell's Bench Video, and Squat Video.

You can see the best in the business doing exactly what it takes to get really really strong. You can purchase the videos at elitefts.com

I don't get anything from the sales. But I have purchased the videos, and my lifts have gone through the roof. Louie Simmons does a great job of explaining each segment either before or after it is shown. This would be an excellent way to get started in powerlifting, in my humble opinion.

Think big.

ALOT of us on here either train westside or somewhat westside. Either way I've been on it for a week and I feel soar again and I've been lifting for 2 years. Feeling soar is a great feeling especially when you know that your gonna be stronger next time you perform that certain lift.

If you wanna research westside some more before buying the videos; http://www.testosterone.net/html/body_115b600.html

The next one will specify on speed=strength. http://elitefitnesssystems.com/documents/factor-of-time.htm
