I'm looking to spend $100-$150, that's why I was interested in a mini. There are other brand MP3 players in that range with more capacity than a mini, but at her age I'm sure she wants the brand name "cool" shit that her other friends have or have heard of.

The ipod mini is discontinued but some of the bigger retail stores still have some left in stock (at least here). Best Buy, Future Shop, those kind of stores. You may be able to find one there.
