If they're guilty confessing is the honroable thing to do. I don't know if I'd call it selling out.
Sometimes a person just has to step up be a man, confess, and deal with it the right way.

Umm...if you want to confess to something YOU did that will send YOU to jail to clear your conscience, that's all well and good. But if you're implicating your friend, and doing so to get yourself a lenient sentence, then you're nothing but a RAT. If I'm Vick, with his money, I'd arrange for someone on the inside to deal with the rats the only way rats ought to be dealt with...

They're not going to cut him a deal. The evidence is over whelming, and the publicity will further the careers of the prosecutors.
I hope Vick takes a rusty shive to the liver. There has to be dog lovers in the joint, not to mention glory hounds looking to add some prison cred to their rep.

I just think this keeping quiet about what YOU did is BS.
Plus if I saw a friend of mine take a life, rape someone, rob someone, or steal a car or whatever I'm not going to lie for them for fear of being a "snitch".
I will talk to them and tell them to confess and IF I get asked I'm straight up telling the truth.
We need more people with moral conviction to do the right thing.
This "snitch" crap is BS.
If you "sell-out" a friend to benefit you it's one thing, BUT if you lie when you're not involved and it's a serious crime, especially murder or some shit then the person who doesn't step up is a pussy.
I don't know the specific's of the Vick plea bargains or if a sell-out is involved or not, I don't think any of us know, but the truth is the truth and we've somehow twisted it around that lying for a friend over serious criminal activity is honorable when it's the complete opposite.
For example the Unabomber was turned in by his brother. I can't imagine the mental anguish he went through, but his brother was a sick, cold, ruthless killer and in MY book he did the ONLY thing he could do for everyone's sake including his brother.

nah he wont make a deal. i think the prosecution is way past any deal. what does he have to offer? everyone is turning on him and his lawyer said they aren't changing their plan for trial in November. his jail sentence is not going to be that long. its not murder its animal cruelty and illegal dog fighting. they will go for the max im sure but still he has millions and doesn't need to play in the nfl anymore. but im sure a team will pick him up. look at Terrel Owens, he is a thorn in any coaches side but yet they keep taking him in hoping he will change. the guys that struck a deal will get 5 years max but will only do 2 so his sentence wont be too much longer than theirs.
