I DONT THINK THAT IS SPANDEX. IT LOOKS LIKE THE TYPE OF SHORTS THAT COACHES AND REFS WEAR (I THINK HE SAID THAT). THEY MIGHT BE A SIZE TOO SMALL BUT NOT SPANDEX.

Chesty....... ummmmm I play a shitload of softball and I have never worn shorts like that..... of course I wear baseball pants........ but I hear ya on the coaching shorts.

Too many people haven't been involved in an athletic practice to know what kind of shorts a coach wears.

If ya dont mind my asking.......what school? You are in AZ aren't ya? What age group........my son is wanting to get into football. I tried to talk him into it for this fall but he wanted to go with kids pitch baseball.

Just sign him uip for pop warner and let him try a season. l If he don't like it no harm no foul.

You look good. Are those shorts the brand "Bike"? Those are awesome, I remeber all the coaches and gym teachers wore them growing up. If I was a coach I would wear those too, you kind of have to, those shorts, a whistle, and a clip board and you are set.
 
Regarding accusations about tight shorts, he has gained weight. Do you expect someone to run out and replace their wardrobe every few months? The girls liked it and I think he is more concerned about their judgement. Besides most of my coaches wore shorts like those.
