MTV did a True Life Episode on someone training for a Strongman Comp.

Do you have to train holding a gigantic tire? How do you train for something like?

How much do you eat in a day?

Yeah the kid from Arizona, he competed in the WSM this year, did pretty well considering he is small by strongman standards and very young.

My bro and I cast another atlas stone yesterday so it should be ready in a week or so (200-220lbs when dry). We got cement dye and made this one black. We are thinking of color coding our stones from now on. I also have some of the equipment to train with, but need to get more. I also lift in the gym 3 days a week.

I eat quite a lot, probably 5-7K calories per day during heavy training. I may bump that up to 8-10K for a bit to try and add some more muscle. As of today I am cleaning up my diet and am going to be very strict about training (especially cardio).

I went into a triathlon bike shop to ask about wetsuits. The guy guesstimated me to be 220'ish. At the time I was a happy meal short of 240 lbs.

Atlas Stone?? Is that the round ball they carry while running? (unless I'm thinking of something else).

Why would you color code them? Different weights?

10K, wow, that is A LOT of Food. Is it all clean food? Mostly protein drinks?

I apologize for asking too many questions. Your sport isn't discussed much on this board (or where I visit).

The big balls of cement that we load from the ground up onto a pedistal, we just saw the black dye and thought it could be cool. There are a few different colors so color coding will work for the different weights, plus look kinda cool.

Not worried about eating super clean when I bulk, because I have to eat lot's of stuff to hit that much, and you can't get enough just from good food sources. Also since I am not really worried about being lean I can give myself a lot of leway on foods. I am just trying to knock out the donuts and cookies right now(christmas cookies are the bane of my existence). I'll probably start doing the protein shake thing again pretty soon so I can spread calories out from 4-5 times a day to 6-7 times a day.

No problem asking questions I don't mind. I have two kids at the gym now that I am helping to train. Those two ask tons of questions, but that's good otherwise you can't learn anything. One of them is going to do the show in May with me.

Yeah we already have two, but needed a medium weighted one (others are 165, 300lbs) for practice.

This time we used a big playground ball and coated it in plaster until is formed a mold. Then you deflate the ball when it sets and pour in the cement. Let it sit for a while then break the plaster off of it. Total cost of stone was about $50 including the play ball.

Tractor would be pretty cool, I just don't have any place to keep it, so I'll have to stick to cars/trucks.

I wish I didn't have my grocerie bill.LOL
