For the average guy, yes. With proper training, I'd say go for it. I'm not sure how I understand these accidental shootings actually happen. My 1911 requires a grip on the pistol as well as pulling the actual trigger. It also has a safety, unlike glocks, which I'm not a huge fan of...

In a proper holster a glock is fine. That's what I carry typically...just keep your finger out of the trigger guard on your draw and you're fine.

You realize an unloaded gun is useless, right? None if this would happen if people could follow the basic rules of handing a gun.

Jan 19th..

on the 17th my wife bought me a new gun... glock 27 gen4

on saturday I went to a gun show at an armory and bought another one glock 23 gen3...
also picked up 3 21 round mags and a 31 round mag in 40 cal...

and i didn't shoot myself either.. but i'm not a cop..
