Lodid Diet v.1

After much success with my previous diets, I have decided to combine what I have learned and try something a little different.

First off, here are both my previous diet logs:

I have recently come off a 2 month bulking cycle. In that time, I went from 214 to 235. Gain a lot of mass, solid strength and of course fat.

I am 2 weeks into a new diet. It's very similar to a TKD in that I eat only P + F during the day, however I have a health P + C (malto) after workout.

However, on the weekends I do something a little different. I am totally relaxing and keeping only two rules, I am staying away from hardcore junk and not mixing carbs and fats in the same meal. My weekend diet starts on Friday night and ends on Sunday night.

I started at 235 and I am now at 229. No loss of strength. As a matter of fact, I had a 315 PR bench press last night.

Will keep posting success (or failure).

Fun Weekend = Horrible for my diet. Ate REALLY bad and drank beer both Friday and Saturday night (first time in months I have drank beer). Stayed up until around 6:00 Sunday morning, However I did sleep most of Sunday.

Did real good yesterday. Workout was powerful. Had post workout shake (60p50c malto).

Rest of the day was P+F.

Had a hard time sleeping last night.

Good luck. Why are you doing a 2 day relaxed diet instead of a one day ? Not saying it's wrong, just wondering.

I workout Monday to Tuesday and usually get good rest on Saturday and Sunday.

Therefore, my logic is that I want to 'feel' good on the weekends and not force/restrict any of my bodies demands (hunger, sleep, etc). I want a relaxed flow for everything on the weekends. Now understand, I am not ordering 2 cheese pizza's every Saturday night. I am just relaxed and don't track anything on the weekends.

The weekdays I am like a machine. I have very specific times to eat. I workout hard and follow a very specific plan.

I am trying to create a lifestyle vs. a diet. I have no idea if it will be successful, but it feels right so far.

Had a horrible workout last night. I was totally drained. Felt like I was overtraining but I don't think that's it. I think it's the lack of carbs and low cals. I just have to adjust.

this happens to me when i dont have enough carbs in my system

That's it for sure. I performed an experiment last night, I ate a bowl of spegetti a few hours before bed. I slept GREAT and I feel refreshed and full of energy today. I may modify the diet so that my last meal is P+C. So basically all meals pre-workout will be P+F and all meals after workout P+C.

Give me a couple of days to think on this.

Had quite a bit of carbs yesterday. Yesterday was back day and my deadlift were great!

Had P+C both post workout meals and again, slept great!

OMG, talk about a total failure for weekend.

Stayed up late both Friday and Saturday night, did not go to the store and ended up eating total crap and very infrequently.

This weekend was the lesson of what not to do and I consider it a total waste.
