Actually joncrane, if that is your real name, the term "event horizon" is a scientific term implying the radius from the center of a blackhole inside of which nothing, not even light, may escape the powerful gravitational pull of the massive blackhole. It is a real entity. If one were to pass inside the "event horizon", then in theory, an onlooker would see the individual in question being slowly stretched for an infinite amount of time. The person on the inside of the "event horizon" would, on the other hand, take an infinite amount of tiem to reach the center of the blackhole in his frame of reference. So there.
