China is perhaps our biggest threat. Let's also not forget what they did to the Tibetan people.

As usual, RyanH's post is full of bravado and hyperbole. China is NOT our biggest threat. Our biggest threat are rogue nations that are building up mass weapons of destruction, e.g. Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.

Althought our ideology differs from that of the Chinese and we find many of their practices repugnant, e.g. execution, our relations with them have warmed over the years. They know that if they mess with Taiwan or Hong Kong, they will upset the financial interests of the United States and that we will respond where it hurts, in the pocket book, e.g. lose MFN status, kiss the Olympics good-bye, and increased tariffs on selling their goods in this country.
