Little redness around site....

Hey all I injected my quad yesterday with 250mgs of test e and today it's hurting a good bit. Last cycle I did the same thing occurred around week 5 and it was pretty painful. The injection point looks fine, but below and above it there are dabs of redness and it hurts to walk on it. When I injected yesterday there was a sharp pain. I was wondering if this is due to scar tissue or a possible abcess? I just popped some doxcycyclene (sp) just in case it's an abcess. Any ideas? Thanks!!

What guage needle are you using?

Are you rotating injection sites?

Are you massaging the site after injection?

Sounds like just painful gear to me. I have noticed a little redness after a lot of injections. It is also a possibility that you injected on top of a nerve and compressed it. There are a ton of possibilities....As DIV said...More info is needed to assess your direct questions.

what about, was the site clean to begin with. WAs a vein or a capillariy hit, etc..

Alright to answer questions. In regards to a vein being hit, I don't think I hit one as barely any blood came out. I rotate sites each week.......one week quads and the next week shoulders. Unfortunately I'm not flexible enough to inject into the glutes. I'm using Southern Lab Test and the first vial I finished with no problems. For all injections I'm using a 1 inch 23 guage needle.....drawing with another needle as well. I swab the area with a clean alcohol pad before I inject and swab the area with a new alcohol pad after I inject. I massage the area before I shoot but if I remember correctly I did not massage afterwards (idiot!!!). Was talking to a trainer today and he said that you can get ultrasound to remove scar tissue...either that or deep massages. If it doesn't clear up some within the next couple of days, I'll definately get it checked out by a doc.

Dohhhhhhhh!

Massage the area afterwards and flex the muscle to disperse the oil......also, some Deep Tissue massage can only help as far as the scar tissue is concerned.

I get Deep Tissue for my back and that shit works wonders. It's not comfortable or relaxing when they are doing it, but a few days later, you can feel how the scar tissue is not tight, not gripping or irritating.

I usually alternate what I get between swedish and deep tissue (rolfing).

Probably just the gear. Test E KILLS me everytime, just do what Division said. It helps, but will still be painful.
