doing a study,
what would you say the Average mans build is.
height, weight, bodyfat, max bench.
this would be your regular joe,
no working out.
swol

my guess would be 5'10 175.bs 13-15%bf
maxing about 225lbs

You are giving them way to much credit. The average Joe probally can't bench their body wieght. And are much more out of shape than that. The average athletic Joe that doesn't work out might fit your discription better! My 2 cents

I saw the average guy is 15 pounds below his BW on bench.
bf-18-19%
average height- 5'11''
weight- 195

This is not a flame dude. But you got to be high on crack.

Max 225lbs. have you not ever seen newbies come to the gym and try to bench they cant even put a plate on. I say it is closer to 115lbs.

and average body fat for a man is 18%

Nautica

No. You cant judge bench with body weight. My fault. if a guy weighs 300 pounds i doubt he can bench 290 or 285.

I would think they would be heavier( I'm thinking of the guys I work with, they are all fat ) and weaker. No way maxing 225, maybe 150.

thanks bros
arent you glad we are all way above average.
some of us are beyond the above average

I'd definatley say the average bench is probably in the 115-135lbs. range. This is mostly due to coordination and technique. Also I'd say the average American seems to be about 185lbs. with %20bf.
