I had to drop him off at the airport and watch him walk down the tarmac to the plane and see it take off. it was sad saying good bye. he is going to visit my parents on Long Island for 8 days. today they took him to the statue of liberty. he called me from the statue and said he wished i was there.
i thought him being away would give me some time to relax and rest but I’m not. i miss him a lot. I’m not used to him not being here during the day. he usually goes to work with his mother and then comes see's me at my job to have lunch everyday. today was the first day without him at lunch. right before he boarded the plane he turned and started hugging me and wouldn’t let go and i looked down and he was crying. broke my heart i almost bought a plane ticket right then and there. but i start my new shift as a sergeant tonight so i couldn’t go. i let him take my $500 camera with him.
he wanted a camera to take pics with up there and lately he’s been into making short videos with it so i let him. I’m such a sucker.
