As for your other questions:
Being that it is in liquid form and will be absorbed fairly quickly food shouldn't matter (vet please correct me if i'm wrong)
based on my chemisty background and knowledge that Clomid has a pretty long half life, it shouldn't matter if you take it day or night if you are taking it ED as with any drug that you take ED it's best to take it at the same time (to keep levels consistant)

Side effects of clomid: at higher doses (100mg/day or more) after 10-15 days you will start to get vision artifacts, streaking or blurring of motion especially in low light conditions. It is odd and trippy, but it didn't bother me. A worse side effect that seems to bother many people is clomid makes you moody as hell. It makes some people very depressed, others just cry over little things. It doesn't have this effect on me so I use it. But about 50% of the people I have talked to avoid clomid because they dislike this side effect.
