Liposuction

Made in heaven

New member
Really curious to know who has had liposuction done and whether it is common among bodybuilders. I know a lot of people have had breast fat removed as I have done myself to remove gyno, but what about other problem areas like waist and stomach, etc. And if so what were the results like. I've heard some people say that for bodybuilders it is a bad idea, as once you cut down to a really low bf you start to notice "lumpiness". look forward to your replies :D

I don't think most bb's don't undergo liposuction in the competitive part of a career. (Implants are a different story.)

Again, a professional bb has a lot more time/energy to dedicate to losing weight. Or cutting up. (It would not be practical to perform liposuction once a year -- depending on the cycle phase. Post-bulking.) He's willing to risk a lot, too. (DNP use, for example. And the guy doesn't have to worry about its impact on a 9-5 job.) BB is his livelihood.

Nor can he afford to wear a girdle for 2 to 3 months post-surgery. Other consequences. Tanning? On-stage routine? Scar tissue?

However, the average lifter is a different candidate in terms of liposuction. No plastic surgeon will promise 6,7,8% bf. It's simply not realistic in a guy who has big arms and a bigger gut. But a noticeable reduction in waistline can be achieved.

Afterward, I would recommend that the patient not try to bulk-up too much as part of a maintenance strategy. Or do so on a carefully-monitored diet. Gram scales and all.

The girdle is for 2-3 weeks.....The rusults amazing. Yes, first hand experience talking. I still bulk and cut and at greater body fat my abs still show

Genetic Freak:

Live in Belmont? Does your plastic surgeon hold court in Copley Square?

Just curious.

Still, I'm surprised you had really good results using the girdle 2-3 weeks. Usually, the longer the better.

I hap lipo three years ago around my waist and abs to get rid of the stuff I couldn't seem to exercise off.
It was an easy operation-get a very good Board Certified Surgeon- and recovery wasn't too bad. I only took 5-6 weeks off from working out.
I went to a surgeon who specializes in athletes/bodybuilders/fitness trainers. He performs the surgery on a dozen people each week who are actually "in great shape" to give them that V body shape.
It was the best thing I've ever done as far as appearance goes. I had a 45 chest and 34 waist when I went in for the operation. Now I have a 48 chest and 31" waist.(the chest development obviously not because of the surgery.)
Most horror stories come from people who go to improperly trained surgeons or in-office surgery at a dermatologist. Get a real plastic surgeon.(cost was $2500.00)

I had my sides done. Great results cost was 1800.00. Ultrasonic is the best method. I'm having my front done this spring.

I hear staying on gh for quite a while will give you a lipo like leanness(very ripped look)
Fat cells do have GH receptors on them and GH will in dead cause lipolysis and reduced fat. However, its tough to say which way is better to go. lipo gets rid of the cells alltogether, GH simply triggers the release of thier stored fat. Lipo prolly run ya $2500 give or take and that would give you about 5-6 months of GH. its almost a wash :) but with the GH I suppose ya dont have the pain and recovery issues.

I would have no reservations about getting it done again. It took two weeks to get the stitches out and I was out of the Gym about three weeks. No more fat cells. It is the only way you can actually get rid of fat. Other methods only release stored fats and water from the cells. It was well worth it. Moreover, I highly recommend it if you can afford it and if you have areas which you can never seem to get rid of.

LONE_AZ, when you had your sides done, did you just get it done around the obliques? How many incisions did you need for that?

BUMP for the knowledge !!!!

I can't seem to get the fat off my lower abs and lower back lovehandle area , I'm realy thinking about having this done

Question though ??

After the surgury it is still possible to get the fat back in those areas if you don't exercise right.

Typical methods of fat lose just empty the fat cells of thier contents (ie diets etc). With lipo though they are actually sucking out these cells and recucing that areas ability to actually store fat. So, while the fat cells that are not removed can still grow to accomidate fat storage, you now have far fewer cells for said storage.

Damn this is sounding better and better , All I gotta do now is find a way to get the insurance to pay for it !!

Well considering it is plastic surgery , how many doctors do ya think will take a credit card ??
don't laugh , I dated a girl that got tits with a credit card !!:p

Mr Gringo.. I dont live in belmont Mass lol Born in Mass Gone south. My lipo was ultasound, the stitches dissolved in one week, there were4 incisions 3/4 of an inch, zero scarring, I was in the gym 3 days after the procedure

these top guys (hell even national comp)get whats called etching done on there abs and some get there glutes done. There in and out in no time and with in a couple weeks are hitting there abs---I see some guys around here that are off season(soft as shit with tight ass abs)makes a big diff---peace

Four very small stitches on each side well below the belt line for the obliques. You can barely see them now and only when I’m bare ass naked. I can’t wait to get my abbs done. Hopefully soon. I’m just waiting to sell my house and going to use some of the cash to get my Chest (gyno) reshaped at the same time also. I’m 31 so it is a bit harder to keep my waistline what it was. Anyone who is my age knows what I’m talking about. The funny thing is I would have laughed at myself when I was 25 if I ever thought I was going to get Lipo. One thing to remember is that if you do not eat right after lipo it does not mean you will not get fat.. You will just pack it on somewhere else.

Actually, I think the docs know its rarely covered by insurance and thus have to be flexible on thier methods of payment. They will orten work out financing and take credit cards as well.

Almost all plastic surgeons take credit cards and offer financing as well. I financed mine. If you have a job and ok credit, you can get financing. My payment was 37 a month minimum. I paid it off about six month later.
