Well,
After 8 months of recovering from ultra-sonic lipo and gyno removal, I get to get it all over again. I had a post consultation with my surgeon the other day, and he's recommending it. 8 months, mind you! This blows.
The problem that I am having isn't his fault, it's just the way my body is healing. The thing that isn't discussed much in forums is the problem some people have with scar tissue. I have so much, it's not even funny. My surgeon saw me 6 months post-op and asked, "Are you gaining weight!?"
I just about fell over! Gaining weight, I said! I've been working out harder than ever (no juice), and doing cardio 7 days out of the week, watching my meals/carbs/intake. There's no F'n way I'm gaining weight. But upon closer inspection of my abs/chest, you can clearly feel the stringy hard lumps under the skin, nodules, etc. It's everywhere he lipo'd. You can't physically see this from just looking, but, I look almost like I did before the surgery!
I'm smaller, obviously, but not like the way that I should look, that's fo sho!
So, he's going to bill EVERYTHING to the insurance as a complication from surgery
He told me that everything will/should be covered by ins. He asked me, "you remember what you paid for the first one.." I said, "my surgery costs were 75$ for the gyno removal" hehe. He thinks that I shouldn't have any problem getting it covered. The good news is that the lipo surgery on my abs, which originally wasn't covered by the insurance (out of pocket lipo for abs was 3600$), will be covered also
.
This time, instead of the ultra-sonic lipo, he's going the old fashion way. Just the canula method with no ultra-sonic. He told me that as of late, there has been some medical literature pointing to scarring by this method, the ultra sonic way, so he figures, he might as well try it the old fashion way. Actually, ultra-sonic lipo is the best way for most, but I guess, I fall into that category, which sucks bigtime!
So, I'm preparing to go through this all over again, and again, I'll have to wait longer to start another cycle. This really sucks cuz I've lost most of my hard earned muscle during this past 8 months, but it will feel fun to start all over again and build a better body from the bottom up - so to say.
So, if any of you are thinking about doing this to get rid of your gyno or love handles, you might think about the methods so you don't run into the same problems..
