i wonder if this shit will fuck with my digestion. i'm already compromised in that department, given my illness (colitis).

but i'd like to add something, because whole foods PWO just don't compare, i think. i want to take advantage of that immediate recovery window.

Do you have ulcers (ulcerative colitis)? Or, do you just have IBS?

I'm assuming you have altered your diet quite a bit since you discovered this?

You eating plenty of fruits and veggies (especially veggies)? Taking any psyllium husk? How about probiotics and a good multivitamin with extra C and A? Stress often causes ulcers to flare up. You stressin?

Fish oil has also been used in treating UC for its anti-inflammatory properties.

I'm sure you're up on all this though. Are you managing it effectively?

i've had it for half of my life (almost 16 years now), but i've hardly done much about it. i'm not proactive. these days, my diet is restricted...no junk food...but it's mostly meat. there are some fruits and vegetables, but not a great variety and amount. i just got some probiotics, which i've taken in the past...but, again, never seriously. i've rarely been motivated to give a fuck about my own health, even thouh i say that health is the most important thing. now is the time, because i have the all the opportunity to do it. i still want to build muscle back, though. doing that, and being healthy, it's not the easiest thing. i've tried so many things over the years, but never with discipline and dedication.

i've never managed it effectively. i can do a lot better. btw, i have ulcerative colitis...they aren't actual ulcer per se, but it is IBD, and not IBS.

A lot of times, meat is the enemy to UC. :worried: I think if you get plenty of veggies though, and take fiber (like psyllium husk), you'll be ok. If you don't like veggies, buy a juicer and juice up all kinds of veggies. You can do all veggies and toss in an apple and it will taste great too! If you take psyllium, take it an hour after taking any vitamins/supps/drugs as it blocks absorption of these. I take mine in the morning, an hour after breakfast.

regarding meat...so i've heard. ;/

what's your connection with UC?

i ordered 10 lbs of a 60/40 WPI/WMS blend from TrueProtein.com, btw.

No real connection with UC. I've just had some GI issues in the past. Never diagnosed with anything officially. Probably just IBS. I would get the shits somethign fierce, but since I've been taking probiotics and psyllium and eating plenty of veggies, I don't have any issues *knock on wood*, and I eat a shit ton of protein (450-500 grams/day)and meat too.

Cool you ordered...is that a custom blend you made? Let me know how that works. Did you use the discount code? It should have wiped out most of the shipping charge for you. :)

i did use the code. custom blend. cost was around 70, so it took off around 3.50.

thanks.

what are your total calories, how much do you weigh?

I really only count protein and not total cals. But I'd estimate maybe 6000ish?? I weigh 220 now, and gaining. :)

Ok, that link 2 grams protein per serving? WTF? How much creatine?

Yeah, it's not a protein drink, it's a carb drink. That's why I drink 100 grams of whey isolate like 15-20 minutes later when insulin levels are going up.

Minimum serving size of the waxy maize starch Post workout blend you should be using is 70 grams, which will be around 10 grams of creatine, and around 5 grams of protein through the BCAA's.

They sell a 70 gram scoop...it's the same size as the scoop that comes in a jug of muscle milk.
