lifting and swimming same day

Hey i just got off a crazy summer schedule of working 30 hrs/week, being in class ~15 hrs/week, and volunteering at a hospital approx 15 hrs/week. So i got out of a good rhythm of working out cuz of the time constraints.

Recently for the past week, i've been lifting everyday for approx. 1 hr n 10 min and afterwards im swimming for about 30 min then sitting in the sauna to relax for 10 min after and then i go home. I was just wondering if this is good for my body and if it will produce results. Im definitely feeling it alot but im not sure if its bad to do this on the same day or right after the lifting.

Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

For a short period of time I was lucky enough to have the same routine. I was under little pressure and could enjoy the long workout. I kept the swims to a slow relaxing pace more like active recovery and saw some gains, some weight loss but, more important, I felt great. I still love saunas and have been looking into buying one for my basement gym.

Depends on how much effort you expend .... overtraining?

I used to do this and it felt great. Then I noticed that my shoulders were getting thin and my delt routine weights were going down.

So I changed the swimming from measured laps to a simple, carefree 30 mins in the water putzing around. Really helped keep joint pain down.
