My dad's funeral was quite the event. High school and college friends showed up. I had to give the eulogy. I was a wreck but have closure. My family kicks ass and they all came to celebrate his life.
It was ass cold in NY.
My mom got a life insurance policy in, my brother didn't tell me about it, had her cash the check, only deposited a portion of it in the account, and me, being smart, called the insurance company and asked what the full amount was, and found out my brother kept what was not deposited. WTF.
I was comparing my phone (new Droid 2) with my relatives. We were talking about spam text. No shit, while I was talking with them a good friend sent me a text (she knows about my marriage problems and we've had eyes for each other for years), with a pic. I literally have my phone out and I didn't recognize the number, I thought it was spam. "Bo I hope you like this!" with her ass pointed right at the camera. I just closed it and was like 'screw me'. My wife wasn't there but she found out about it. And she knows the girl so there is drama but I played it off as a simple Halloween party pic (it was). *sigh*
And I didn't get sleep for a few days. My 2 year old didn't want to sleep and my wife got the smallest hotel room, midgets would have been uncomfortable in it.
So now I am flying to Maine in a few days to fix my mom's mess.
...oh, and I might get a job in NY. Time will tell.
And I have decided not to post any more about my marriage. I do want to thank everyone for the advice. You know who you are.
