Life Changing Diagnosis

Im planning on taking my mcats again I would like to get in the thirtys. Never retook a class either. 4.0 in sciences.
Am i gonna get in a big name school, hell no, but I know kids that were worse than me that got into med with grades worse than mine. My friend got into tufts with a 27.

Where are you going to school?? Teaching is something I ve always been interested in as well. I appreciate you chimming in bro!!:) What were your undergrad scores like going into med?

Im glad Ive gone this far in biochem b/c my one friend who has finished his res in plastic surg said that biochem was the one thing he wish he knew better. He said there is alot of emphasis on it in med school.

35 is very rare isnt it? My friends dad is the dean of a dental school and he said if I could pull a 32 I would be all good. Well Im scheduled to take it a 2nd time in august so hopefully I do better.

I'm sorry about your diagnosis of ALS. I would definitely get that third opinion. I understand how life changing a diagnosis like this can be. It's not something I would wish on anyone. I hope that everything works out for you. You already have one thing going for you, your girlfriend and you are fighters, and that will help more than you ever thought.

Good luck.

I think you'll be fine. A 35 is in the upper 90's in terms of percentile but it is just a test and a number. Just study your tail off and you'll be fine. My heart goes out to you about your diagnosis but you're probably tired of hearing about that now. If I can ever help you with your road to getting in medical school just ask.

You never get tired of it sweetie :rose: that's what many people don't understand .. it's the support that helps more than anything, even repeated a million times over ...
