I awoke trembling and shaking. I hadn't experienced a "nightmare" in many years.
It was a surrealistic dream in which I was dying. My chest and stomach were bleeding and turned black. The doctors hooked me up to a machine which said I only had two minutes and thirty seconds to live. I collapsed and my life flashed before me in seconds, kind of like a quick montage.
What is life? we enter the world without asking to live and we must obey the rules given out to us. What's the point of it all? Is it a game? A test?
If you choose to speak out against the rules and march to the beat of your own drum, you're ridiculed for it.
There's so much suffering involved in it. But at times, we realize how beautiful life can actually be. These few memories stick in our brains like glue, and we rarely ever forget them.
I really have only one huge problem with life and death.
The fact that even since I was a little boy, I can always remember that I believed I never had too much time. I've came tragically close to death many times, but all i'd ever wanted to do was accomplish what I want to accomplish. If I don't, or die before i'm able to, I'll feel like I failed.
What's life mean to you?
