Leverone Looks Tiny!

In this month's issue of Flex their are two pictures of him on pages 228 and 229 where he looks like some teenage kid!

I mean I almost dropped the magazine!

He must really come off for a large part of the year?

I dont have this months issue, but I've notice the same thing before. I've seen pics of him in the off season with his shirt off and he looked like a freakin fitness model, not a Mr. O competitor.

Levrone has gotten into the habit of training only for the O and doing courses only when preparing for it. He's one of those guys who responds incredibly well to AS and only needs as long as contest prep to build himself back up. I think I read he starts contest prep at 16 weeks and 245lb and his goal is to come into the O at 242. Sounds like a misprint, but it the truth. My cousin lives on the east coast and he trains at Levrone's Gym about once a month. He rarely has seen Levrone, but when he's not training for the O he's NEVER there he said.

Honestly it is amazing. In the picture he looks to be around 205-210 lbs. similar to someone they would put on the cover of Men's Health!

And then in 16 weeks his is probably in the top five for largest bodybuilders in the world!

Isn't he the one with the rock band? I think he may be doing too much music and not enough hardcore lifting anymore......

He has been doing this for the past couple of years ever since he formed that band. I have watched him get bigger and better from 1991 to 1998 and every year he got bigger and freakier. It wasn't until Ronnie won the Olympia that he changed his attitude towards pro BB and no longer tries to improve on the previous year. Not only that but he doesn't get that freaky 1998 look that he had , he just juices for 4-5 months to get to the size he is at the 2000 Olympia and stop's there.

If he wants to be as big at in 1998 or bigger he would have to do alot more shit and train all year round like Coleman but he has chosen a different lifestyle. I think he made his mind up that he won't play the mass game anymore and will not put his whole life into one competition a year only to get disapointed every time.

If he can be top 3 in the world from training and juicing for 5 months then I take my hat off to him , he probable wouldn't beat Coleman anyway so he isn't really missing out .... he is just smart and efficient enough to know the min. of what he has to do to be the best he can be and doesn't do any more then that.

I agree with Ronin!

I know Levrone as been doing this for atleast the last 2 olympia's

If he would train & juice year round he would look better but still couldn't be Mr.O

He realizes this and enjoys his life more not making bodybuilding the only thing that matters.

He still squeezes into the top 5. I admire him for that.

I bet he is happier than many other pro's out there.

I agree with him looking smaller in this months flex issue..i was like wtf?I think he gets overlooked alot though b/c magazines always refer to either flex or chris, especially, chris as the number two bb in the world..thats fucked up considering chris didnt even compete at the o last year.and levrone beat flex hands down at the o last year...hell even ronnie coleman said it was levrone's show in a press conference afterwards and said that he was just glad he won.

i agree levrone looked tiny in some pics, but in the front of the magazine he looked pretty fuckin big when talking about building bi's.

WTF? Tiny?!?

Personally I think Levrone is one of the more aesthetic bodybuilders out today. His musculature is pleasing to the eye unlike Ronnies or some of the larger men. To say he's tiny is a fallacy. He still comes in around 240-250lbs ripped. To me that's a big ass mofo and still a great accomplishment...

you must be looking at last months Flex, in the new one he is not found on those pages. Plus...there is a feature with him in it starting on page 30 and he looks awesome. He looks fucking stacked, and he still has a lean waist unlike Coleman.

Ive trained quite often at Kevins (World Gym) and I also hang with one of his sisters. We are about the same height but trust me He is Big. He is trying new things that some asian kid is teaching him and Im not sure what its about. But thats who got his abs the way they are so who knows what else is going on. All I can say is stay tuned for the Olympia. In my opinion its a mistake to change the formula after finally coming in second but we will see I guess.
