Letter from Kerry Campaign

Breeze

New member
I got another letter from the Kerry campaign today that has 3 pictures of Kerry hunting and talking about how he supports gun rights, etc. The shotgun that he carried in one of the pictures will be banned if house bill 1421, which Kerry himself sponsored, is made into law. Kerry has voted against gun rights 51 times since 1984, has voted 9 times to ban ALL semiautomatic weapons and is endorsed by virtually every animal rights and anti- hunting group in America. In contrast, he gets an "F" rating from the National Rifle Association and a score of "0" from The Gun Owners of America.

Well,

Although he is a legitimite outdoorsman, he said he would have re-signed the assualt weapons ban which is complete crap. Why can't these friggin politicians just piss off and leave us alone?

Kerry sux. He will DEFINATELY try and put more useless laws into place if he gets into office. No doubt, so he can march around telling us how "safe" he's made us. What a tool.

I doubt Kerry (once President) would dare to touch gun rights. But we never know.

The dems have been quiet about gun control this election because they have taken a beating at the polls for supporting it. If they regain power, I'm afraid they will again go after our 2nd Amendment rights. I'm not a big fan of either party, but any politician who has a problem with the 2nd Amendment scares the hell out of me, and it is a fact that nearly every vote in favor of more gun control is cast by a Democrat. Bush has an "A" rating from the National Rifle Association while Kerry gets an "F". Kerry is endorsed by virtually every anti- hunting group in America. When Clinton was in office the official position of the Justice Department was that the 2nd Amendment did NOT mean that ordinary citizens had a right to own guns. They claimed that it only applied to the National Guard. Anyone who knows basic American history knows that the right to keep and bear arms is specifically for the PEOPLE, not standing armies. The whole point was that Americans could not be conquered or oppressed by enemies, including our own government. The founding fathers were very clear about this. John Kerry recently said he supported gun rights "the way they have been interpreted in America", meaning the Clinton interpretation. The Bush Justice Department reversed this policy, reaffirming our rights the way they were intended. Even if Kerry tried to push gun control, the backlash would be huge, more people buying guns, joining the NRA, etc. Looking back, Clinton's gun control had the opposite effect of what he wanted, gun control makes gun sales go through the roof if people think a ban is on the horizon. What worries me about Kerry is that he would appoint Supreme Court judges who would most likely be unfriendly to the 2nd Amendment.

uh... BUH BYE Kerry - good riddance. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out---- oh and one more thing - Daschle is a dork too :).
