What is it about certain steroids that make veins more pronounced and visible?

I realize body fat is a key factor in seeing veins; however, even at the same body fat concentration these steroids show a much higher level of vascularity than others.

Equipoise, Anavar, Tren, Winny, and Masteron(I believe) all are known for this. What is different about these drugs that allows this to happen?

And what is actually happening that makes your veins appear "bigger" physiologically?

I asked this same question a few months ago. I did some research on it, and at a point, your veins will actually expand (vasodialation) which means your veins dialate. You know the BB's with the bicep veins that apper tha have a diameter of 1/2 inch? It comes from the vasodialating effects of steroids.


All steroids will cause vasodialation to a degree. Anadrol, believe it or not, is one of the better drugs for this along with the aforementioned because of its ability to increase RBC so well. You just don't see it because of the bloat.

yep ive heard that also. some ppl use it pre-contest like 4wks out actually

5g Arginine and/or 500mg niacin (no-flush) pre-workout or 20 minutes before stepping on stage will also do the trick

bodyfat but muscle maturity i think plays a big role in vascularity....guys that have been lifting and juicin for 10-15 yrs in their late 30's usually are more vascular and have more muscle maturity

I never knew Anadrol gave vascularity. I've never tried it but assumed it was like dbol. I'll have to give it a go sometime.

I use to go into a contest on drol just to hold fullness and then use lasix to shed excess water. Not anymore, that was 90's BB'ing. I use to diet up instead of diet down, now i have to use other techniques b/c i've grown alot and its harder for me to make weight now.

I have never tried it either. Like i mentioned earlier though, if you bloat bigtime like some people do, you won't notice any change until the bloat is gone.
