Lets talk about routines

Do you have one that you are loving right now? Why?

I think a good routine should not only give you great gains of course, but fit in with your schedule, goals, age, etc.

Are you using one that is right for you?

mines meh, here it is

mon~chest/abs

wed~shoulders/back

Fri~arms/legs

pretty simple, but it works.

are you a powerlifter?
most powerlifters don't work 'bodyparts', they work 'lifts'.

I 've got one I started a while back (and will resume next week once I get over this sprung ankle):

I'd been following a Westside template and was trying to figure a new way to mix things up. I thought it would be a cool idea to learn the olympic lifts. I realize Westside Barbell lifters don't do the olys, but I had the desire to learn and understand what they were. I'm not training for competition, so I have the luxery to experiment. I started with the partials, (from the hang, overhead squat, etc.) instead of the usual assistance work. Not only do you re-learn speed and explosive power, but you use muscle groups in totally new ways- also great for GPP. I also figure anything I suck so bad in is indicative of a defiency which needs to be addressed. I like the fact that I'm doing compound movements that aren't limited to the same 3 expressions of force.
And the enthusiasm is back.

yes, it's one of the little known provisions of the G.I. Bill: those now unfit for society are allowed some sort of useful form of self-expression.
