Lestat's Training log

I've been thinking about starting one for a while, I could use feedback on my routine.

Background, I have been doing HST for a while now and have seen good progress. Certain areas need more work though (back).

I've also been cutting this summer so I do cardio. I'll post my cardio work as well.

I am going to take a week off for strategic deconditioning so no weights for a few days.

Today I ran 4.25 miles at about 9 minute mile pace.

Damn bor that is alot of running

You are not loosing muscle?

i am not doing any cardio just training hard and eating clean

I've lost some muscle :( I've also lost a LOT of fat though too

If your goal is strength and fat loss, you can work on interval training or do some track workouts. Jog a mile to warm up. Do power skips down the track's straight, jog it out around the bend, walking lunges down the next straight, jog again. Mix it up with sprints, jump squats, run some ladders, run the bleachers. Use all of your effort to go as fast and hard as you can. If you do that once a week, you'll notice a marked increase in strength overall. Plus you'll burn a shitload of calories. I know you're a bit of a hardgainer (I'm not), but you should see some gains from this. Plus it will improve your overall fitness as opposed to just appearance. keeping your fast twitch fibers worked will help with power workouts and plyo's if you do anything with that.
