Lesson learned w/out clomid.

Friend of mine just finished his first cycle of Test. Cyp. only, 200mg a/week. Good gains, put on 10 lbs., strength was great. Did not use clomid, didn't think he needed it at that dose of Test. Now it's been about 3 weeks and he's lost the weight and feeling tired and lethargic, all due to not using clomid? Or should he have changed his workout up a bit when coming off? Thanks guys ahead of time for the responses.

when coming off a cycle, you need to work out harder, and continue to remain on a proper diet. yes, yuo will loose a little as far as your lifts, but you wil need to rfemain working out just as hard and harder to maintain as much as possible

Hard to tell without a testing his test levels. A bridge of primo would have held the gains while letting his nads come back up to par. Once they shut down they need to have time to recover. 2 shots 1per week of HCG would have shocked them back to a good level.

I completely disagree. When you come off, your body is in a very catabolic state. That's why a lot of people, myself included, even take an entire week off the first week post cycle -- to let my body recuperate. I agree that you must maintain a strict diet, and you have to continue working out, but to work out harder when you are "off" than when you are "on" -- that's impossible. Unless you didn't work hard enough while you were "on".

stalker, yuo took me out of context a little. if he was coming of a sus cyle then i would say wait 2 weeks before hitting the clomid, but test cyp and ethenate levels will drop in your first week, that is why i recommened the clomid after your last injection. when on a cycle yes you train your ass off , but when coming off some people get disappointed when there strength starts to decline and dont put the same intensity into there there training when they were on. that is what i meant by train harder. i guess it is more a mental thing with the training harder part.

1AbBig - I hear you about the mental thing. Nothing sucks more than seeing those poundages go down day after day once you come off. By the way, when I said I take a week off ater a cycle, I meant a week off from going to the gym. I agree completely with you on the clomid.

I try to pair down total volume (eliminate most assistance exercises etc..) and stick to the core lifts. If you stress the cores while on (DL, Bench, Squat etc..) you should retain most of your gains providing everything else is in order you can still must the energy to put in some solid maintenance work with these at least once a week each.

I also like to keep cycles shorter with lower dosages to minimize test recovery time.
