Legalizing GHB

Too dangerous.. You have to remember that a large percentage of the general public are general morons, and don't think or research before taking what they take.... People would mix a shitload of ghb with their alcohol and think that it might be a fun time when all that will get them is killed...

Those of you who actually believe that GHB was scheduled because of health concerns or deaths form abuse are falling for the oldest trick in the book...which is demonizing something in order to control it. GHB actually is up for review again, and again it is for consideration of XYREM, a prescription only sleep aid. Xyrem is GHB. Think about it. Back when L-tryptophan was made illegal it was the most effective natural sleep aid available. But we had a couple of biggies on the horizon for the pharmaceutical companies, and we wouldn't want any competition now, would we? When GHB was scheduled, it was ALREADY IN CLINICAL STUDY FOR SLEEP AID PRESCRIPTIONS. Hmmm. And now that none of us can legally put our hands on it, suddenly the government is not as concerned about our health, and they are going to help us out now by making available through prescription only. THAT way it could NEVER be abused, right? HAHAHA. Use your heads. GHB was scheduled for the same reason everything else is scheduled--IT WORKS BETTER THAN WHAT THE PHARMACEUTICALS HAVE TO OFFER AT THE MOMENT FOR THE SAME EFFECT.

I can’t endorse GHB, I use to take it to get high and to sleep, and then I OD’d and took a trip to the ER. Scared the crap out of me.
The hospital personnel told me I was lucky to be alive.
Simply the same dose as usual just hit me wrong!

I am an RN and most people don't really understand GHB. If you mix it with alcohol and or barbituates or diazapines then it has potential to be lethal. By itself unless you take a whole lot of GHB you will be ok.Remember GHB metabolizes rapidly into harmless byproducts (CO2 and H20 if I recall correctly).solidspine said:

I have had a couple of exprinces with GHB. I work in one of the hottest bars in my city and we hace many patrons that play with GHB. One young lady dieced that she would take her normal amount .(I think her freind told us she had taken a cap and a half)
She passed out at her table and we carried her out the back door we laid her down on the ground. Fter we got her outside one of the bouncers noticed that her lips where blue I checked her pluse,nothing I checked it agian still nothing and started cpr it took ems 20 minutes to get there. She did not make it. She ahs apparently been taking GHB for a coulpe of years and has never had any side afftects. Well after later I swore off GHB why take any more chances with my life. Well I will get off my soapbox now

It's a well know fact that I love GHB. I'd never want it to be legalized though. There are way too many dipshits in this world. Most people can't even dose alcohol correctly. GHB takes a higher level or awareness than most other rec drugs. If taken correctly it's one of the best though. Saying that, maybe it should be legal. That way we can weed out the dumbasses in the world...

I agree. I think an adult should be allowed to take anything he/she wants. If they're stupid enough to take something that they don't know anything about, they deserve what's coming to them. I believe most scientists would call this Darwinism in progress.
