Left Arm Tendonitis update

I wrote about three weeks ago about some bad tendonitis in my left arm more than likely from overtraining. I took off 3 weeks jof lifting and just did cardio. Today I started back lifting and no more pain. Rest does wonders.

Elbow or shoulder?
I've had both and can offer some practical training and medical advice.

You said elbow, so here goes:
(1) You've been very disciplined to use ICE and lay off.
(2) Prior to working out, rub some Flexall (otc) along the joint line.
(3) Take 1, 80 mg aspirin with water.
(4) Use elbow wraps ... the ones that slip over - like a sleeve. Buy knee wraps for this. Normal elbow wraps are too small. One end will be larger and goes towards the biceps.
(5) Warm up more with slow, light weight, standing French presses. Let them stretch you out at the bottom.
(6) Find the exercise that is causing this and use a substitute. For me, heavy French presses standing, seated or on the bench always caused pain. Standing pushdowns, close grip bench presses and dips did not.

Hope this helps.
