How did Led Zep come up with the NAME Led Zeppelin?

I think it was sort of an inside joke as to how bad they thought they were, they didn't expect to succeed as a band. I'm not sure if that's the real reason though.

"The Beatles" was already taken. Therefore, the next logical step would have been to call themselves "Led Zeppelin".
