Leaving cycles for 2-3 years!

Just read a thread and a guy said its his first cycle for 4 years. I want to make this one my last ( I really do), don't think I'm quite up to natural limit yet.

I want to hear from the guys that left juice for a few years but kept training and eating good. What happened? Please don't tell me you reverted to your pre-cycle weight.

What happened to your strength? What weight did you go down to and what was your pre-cycle weight.

i.e. I was very happy with the end of my last cycle, how I looked, my strength, weight etc. but I lost a few lbs and bit of strength. I'm currently doing another cycle but would be happy if all that this did was to make it easier to be the shape I was after my last cycle for ever.
 
I am planning on cutting back to just one 12 week cycle per year, most likely while cutting. I am hoping I will be able to do it. The other thing I am considering is taking 1 month per year off all together from training.
 
i'm out of the game..... maybe some gh when i'm older, possibly some clen, or dnp is things get ugly.
 
Ox, why the change? I am looking to make my change because I will be starting a family soon and just think it is time to put this lifestyle to the side for some time.

i'm not a kid anymore. i'm almost done with college and i don't need to be big anymore. as long as i'm fit. i'll be happy. i am gonna start lifting again but i can use some time off. i think my body is too young to be going through this abuse of using drugs.

i am not worried about losing size. as long as i eat good and continue to be active you only lose so much. muscle memory!

Im not as young as you but I kinda feel the same way. I think this is my last cycle too.

I went from '93 (jr. year in college)-'01 without ANY juice at all. My average weight was 210 at 5'11". In 1994 I discovered Met-Rx and clean diet and Creatine (That's about the time the price became somewhat affordable.) I went down to 185, benching 205x11, 18 wide-grip pull-ups, and still squatting 315x10, with a 6 pack. (My boxing coach said "You look an awful big 185.")

The best leg workout I ever had was in 1996, I got up to squat 365x9, just from traing heavy and cycling Creatine -- this is 3 years after my last cycle!

I've done 3 cycles since '01: deca only; deca/eq/Serostim; a oral Winny only maintenance cycle; and NOW -- deca/testoviron. I'm going to finish the test in 2 weeks, continue with the Deca alone for 6 weeks more while cutting. Then it's Clomid, Clen, Creatine (I haven't done creatine in over 1 year). From then on I plan to stay natural and keep bodyfat low. Keep the rest of my hair with azelaic/minox and that's it. I'll be 32 soon. My girlfriend is saying she wants to have a baby. I'll need sperm for that.

I applaud the rest of you guys for being sensible at such a young age.
 
BTW, Rich_d, in that time (94-01) that I was natural I never took time off from lifting. 3x/week 45 min avg. per workout. Just the basic compound exercises. It was force of habit. Working out was just a small task every other day. The years go by and you solidify and surpass what you achieved with steroids -- without any adverse hormonal imbalance and without the aid of water retention. If you quit training, you will lose a lot and it will be hard to regain -- making steroids look like an option again.
 
Cheers BB, some good info there. It looks as though you still lost 35 lbs over the years, thats quite scary. How much of this was fat/muscle.

Any other input or is this thread silly to have on a anabolic board (i.e. everybody's on)
 
No -- I said I averaged 210 while on (once got up to 230 and looked fat as hell -- a lot of water retention). But, while off, I got down as far as 185 without losing any muscle. Strength stayed the same but it took me about 6 months of gradual adjustment to get to that weight -- just by taking 2 Met-rx per day and averaging 2100 calories per day. Pretty soon I was like, where did this 6-pack come from? Chicks at the bar I worked at were like "wow, feel his washboard stomach."

So I never lost 35 lbs. 210-185=25. But 210 was when I was on. 200 was avg weight when natural. I lost 15 lbs of fat. But that was through a relatively strict diet regimen.

It was easy to get big again. It was a year later I was squatting 365x9 in the gym at my old college and one punk there kept trying to get me to hook him up with steroids (even though I hadn't touched them in over 2 years) and this older guy asked me if I played ball. I gave the kid the name of DPS where I got my Creatine and Met-Rx. (I did not even have a source for steroids. The last cycle I did in '92 I bought the gear in Amsterdam on a diversion from the family trip to Europe. Back then, that was the only way to get legit stuff because of all the fakes.)

But you have to be strict and consistent. It's up to you. If you really feel you have to be a certain size, then maybe you will not be able to quit steroids. I know I looked and felt great -- better than when on steroids. Chicks were all over me then. But a friend of mine in the gym in college told me I had good genetics. I never really took it to heart but, when I look arouond, there are a lot of guys in the gym who do not look good even though they are big. But they might look worse (at least in their eyes) if they were not as big. It's all in your mind.
 
I weighed 180 natural about 7 years ago and was about 6% body fat. Since then i eventually got up to a max of 255 @10% but lost 20 lbs after that cycle, I weigh 235 right now. If i stop working out and stop eating right i will go down to 200-205. Size has always been my prob (ectomorph), i've neer been over 10%bf.
