Well, if you follow my workouts that I post on here...you will notice a few things...
1) I love to pull
2) I have had a pretty rough injury (that still bothers me a little)
3) I did not squat or pull (or anything where I had to bend my knee) for 5 weeks
4) I have found a new love in the gym...squatting heavy
5) I have been taking singles every other week with equipment on
6) I have not been pulling much (still don't feel comfortable in that position yet)
I have noticed something since I've been squatting heavier AND by doing more HEAVY work with the equipment on... The suit helps with my hips and glutes on the squat...but my erectors are just getting freaky thick from top to bottom. My glutes feel thick and strong too from all the work they get on the heavy squats. I never experienced this through squatting without the gear.
Maybe doing the 600+ pound squats on a bi-weekly basis, even with the gear, is bringing up my erector strength and hopefully helping to maintain a decent pull. I've had good experiences with the Atlas Stones the past two weeks (a lot of back strength required).
Just something that I have noticed...any thoughts on this???
