I was up in Windsor for the weekend and found this store. Never heard of the brand but I bought like $450 in clothes...really liked the stuff. I don't think they have any stores in the US yet. One thing I am curious about..how exactly is the name pronounced?

They've been in Canada for a long time. Not a huge selection in the stores, but you can usually find a few good stylish items.
"Le Chateau" is french for "The Castle" or "The house" or something like that...

lol Le Chateau started where I live, in the montreal area, around here it's pretty well known.
They have some really cool clothes, but I like having shit that most people don't have.
if you live in the states you'll be the only mofo with shit from Le chateau.
if you live in Montreal you'll be the only mofo with shit from abercrombie on.

although you can't compare both brands cause they target diff people, i'd say they have like 1-2 things I like per season in the mens stuff. the Womens clothes imo look on the cheapy side especially the dresses, but they look good still,gives a nice silouhette and shit.

so I'd give Le Chateau a B+ A- if you live in the states.
if you live in montreal i'd give it a C- D+.
it's really cheap and lots of cool different looking stuff.
it's like banana republic kinda.. or express.. I dunno I guess it's kinda unique.
and btw my mom shopped there when she was a student in the late 70's.

Quality has gotte nbetter than it used to be. Most of their stuff is meant to last 1 season i think, but one finds stuff there once in a while. their shirts though definatly aren't cut for my shoulders or chest.
