Absolutely not. If anything Plasmas & LCDs are getting more advanced. Ever hear of Ultra HDTV? Newest technology coming out of Japan in about 4 or 5 years. 4x as many pixels of current models.(1920 × 1080)7,680 × 4,320 pixels. Movie stars dont want this because we will be able to see all their plastic surgery.. lol.

If you buy a plasma, buy Panasonic. I own a 42in, wish I would have went 56in.

DLP is best for gaming.. Neither of those systems is HD though so its going to look like shit.
