How does everyone do thier layoff?
Ive been busting my ass for a long time and im finally taking a break. 1 month, no lifting, no cardio, no AAS. Just food and a few essential vitamins.
been a week and im feelin good.
Eating about 70% clean. I grubbed some cheesecake tonight @ the cheesecake factory. goddamn thats good shit.
all i am doing for my diet is just axing the 4 protein shakes i usually drink a day and im eating about 4 meals with about 100 grams of protein or so in each one...takin it pretty easy on the carbs.
im curious to how much Im going to maintain. 1 week in and i think my muscles are actually larger and fuller...
 
I had some time off about march due to a neck injery about a month, I didnt lose much size size but my streanth suffered quite badly :worried:
so Im on a ml of sust eod to sort the job out ;)

when i was really serious about training, diet and supplements.. I would deload every two months or so.. I would back of my training (i would go through the motions just to get the blood flowing, no heavy weights) i would take out a couple meals from my diet (kept protein high but didnt gorge myself as usual)... This would usually be for a good week or so.. My strength never really changed all that much, my body looked the same (I dont look at the scale) and I felt great...

I know you just got done busting your ass competing, and i have friends that do that as well.. I know some of them quit cold turkey and some just go through the paces.. It seems like the guys who keep the schedule going comeback the quickest and happiest..

I think a week off completely is well deserved and needed, but I would still go in there and go through the paces for a few more weeks after that...

Jeez, I thought I was high at 450.. Id be pooping like crazy at 750..
 
yeh bro, i sometimes take a week or three off and just do cardio three times per week, maybe not go to my gym but run or walk, its good for me once or twice per year to get out of the gym for a bit!

and from your pics bro i don't think it will hurt you at all! you are in excellent shape and will probably make you that much more dedicated when you get back

I still trained in a lighter recovery mode for about 3 weeks following my last contest to stimulate a little more growth before i pushed into this layoff.
just seems like all BB's should benefit from chillin and gettin back into thier lives after a long time of consistant training and competition! appreciate the advice bros... :coffee:
 
i just got back from 3weeks off. it's been tough but everything is getting back in line after week 1. strength is coming back and stamina is still lacking though. it's well deserved and needed for most of us.
